| A Recap of the 25th HCM Conference |
A Message from the Chief Operating Officer, Ruth Ladner
As many of you know, Genesys recently welcomed customers, industry thought leaders, partners, business professionals and staff to its 25th annual Human Capital Management Conference, held once again in historic Boston. The event proved to be a rich opportunity for attendees to share ideas, discuss trends affecting human capital management, and learn from one another's valuable experiences.
The broad educational agenda featured 45 sessions all tied to the overall event theme "Learn, Lead, Succeed," and focused on strategies, best practices, tools and processes to address today's HCM challenges. Pre-conference workshops and sessions covered a comprehensive range of topics and presentations were given by Genesys customers including: Delta Dental; EMI Music North America; Hillsborough County, Clerk of the Circuit Court; Trustmark National Bank; xwave and more. Additionally, the conference provided informative sessions on Genesys solutions, roundtable discussions and presentations from industry thought leaders.
Mary Strommer, Director of Systems Support for the Hillsborough County, Clerk of Circuit Court commented, "I found the Genesys Human Capital Management Conference to be a unique opportunity to connect with a wide variety of Genesys customers, partners and thought leaders to gain a complete understanding of industry challenges and trends, especially for those seeking to learn more about best practice through real customer case studies."
As
part of the conference, there was also an exhibit hall where attendees
learned about the valuable resources available to improve the effectiveness
of their organizations. And an "Ask the Experts" forum provided Genesys
clients with access to private, half-hour consulting sessions onsite
where they were able to ask business and IT-related questions.
Finally, we were extremely pleased to honor the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and xwave with the 2005 Excellence Award for their significant achievements in effectively managing human capital operations with the Genesys PeopleComeFirst® solution.
As always, we consistently strive to provide a Genesys experience you can't find at any other Human Capital Management conference and insights you can't gather from any other source. This caliber event would not be possible without the dedication and hard work on the part of our customers, partners, employees, and industry leaders who delivered outstanding sessions illustrating their own human capital management experiences. We again extend our sincere thanks for their contributions.

| Cash Management Service |
What Is Genesys Cash Management
The Genesys Cash Management Services (known as GenCash) is a vital and beneficial service offered in conjunction with our current HRO services. It allows our clients to forego manual reconciliation processes and banking issues while providing a secure and confidential solution for these necessary activities. Our GenCash team focuses on accuracy, quality and efficiency of transacting by ensuring a reliable means of funding our client's payroll by working as a go-between with the client and the bank. This advantageous service frees the client to concentrate on essential business functions such as revenue generation and growth of their business.
GenCash is fundamentally a method by which the client can skip the banking process by using both their payroll service bureau, Genesys, as a payroll service and as a banking establishment. Handling the client's payroll direct deposit and checking transactions through the Genesys Cash Management account alleviates the time consuming process of dealing with a bank or reconciling accounts. For example, when a client processes a payroll, the appropriate funds are impounded by Genesys from the client. Checks are drawn on the Genesys Cash Management account. Direct Deposit files are then created by Genesys and sent to the bank for processing. In addition, the GenCash team handles all related transactions such as stop payments, ACH reversals, fraud monitoring, etc. The client never has to deal with the bank directly.
How Does It Work
A Genesys client will initially elect the Cash Management option upon execution of an outsourcing contract. They will establish an agreement with the Cash Management department allowing Genesys access to either direct debit (ACH) their account or to initiate a reverse wire/drawdown request. This authorization is provided to Genesys with a fully executed Debit Authorization form. The process is simple and straightforward. In some cases, it is for payroll only, in others it can consist of payroll, tax filing and/or service fees.
What are the Benefits of the Cash Management Service
Simply stated, all Cash Management clients can expect:
- Through Positive Pay (a widely recognized banking safeguard), a more secure way to reduce the potential of fraudulent checks and exception items.
- A daily reconciliation of accounts, showing the clients funds incoming or outgoing at any given time.
- Reduction or elimination of the need for clerical services relating to banking transactions such as stop payments, ACH reversals, etc.
- Quick, efficient and accurate service.
- Regular reports of outstanding items, eradicating the escheatment process as all items are handled in a timely manner.
In a nutshell, GenCash takes the burden of check reconciliation, banking and account monitoring from the client so they are free to use their resources in more productive and rewarding ways. No more bundles of checks at the end of the month to sort through. No more interruptions to process a stop payment or a reversal of a direct deposit. No more calling the banks only to be transferred several times before finding someone who can help you. GenCash is here to do it all for you.
**Sign up for GenCash today and let us help you concentrate on your
business objective and take your mind off the banking perspective**
