Movies depict it. New Englanders are sentimental about it. The Red Sox hit their peak in it. What is it? September in New England! And this year, the annual Genesys conference will be in our backyard... 20 miles to the south in beautiful, historic downtown Boston, Massachusetts. At last, the Genesys Human Capital Management Conference comes home to New England!
Boston
provides the perfect location to blend the past and the present; where
history meets technology. This year's Boston setting incorporates
the best of the old with the best of the new, and that's what you'll
find at the Genesys Human Capital Management Conference -- ways to
transform your workplace through people, processes, and technology.
For
years, Genesys clients have requested that the annual conference be
held in or near Boston. Well 2004 is the year! Many exciting plans
are in the works and we're proud to share our beautiful corner of the country with
our clients. New England is rich in history, small enough for wonderful
day-trips, and features spectacular scenery around every turn. From
our conference location, which is situated in the heart of Boston,
you're only a few hours drive to the mountains of New Hampshire and
Vermont, to the rocky coast of Maine, to the sand dunes of Cape Cod,
to the mansions and regattas of Rhode Island, to historic Connecticut,
and to the rolling hills of the Berkshires. For this year's conference,
you may want to come early and stay for several additional days --
there's just so much to see and do!

Historical Sites
In
the heart of downtown Boston, you'll find Faneuil
Hall Marketplace, a collection of upscale shops, unique boutiques,
and restaurants, punctuated by lively street performers on every corner.
At one end of the marketplace sits historic Faneuil Hall. Within walking
distance are the financial district, the waterfront park, the North
End (Boston's famous predominantly Italian neighborhood), and Government
Center.
Also nearby, is Boston Common, the starting point of the 3-mile long
Freedom
Trail. Highlights along the trail include the Granary Burying
Ground, where John Hancock, Paul Revere, James Otis, Robert Treat
Paine, and Samuel Adams are interred; Paul
Revere's House; the Old North Church; and the ending point of the Freedom Trail, the U.S.S.
Constitution.

the Boston
Bruins, and the New
England Revolution all in the area, there's something for every
fan.
In addition to the excitement these teams generate, fun can be had

Boston Weather. In New England, we have a saying, "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute." It can be cold or warm, sunny or snowy, calm or stormy... all in the same day... all in a matter of minutes. New Englanders have learned to be prepared, which includes having hats, gloves, umbrellas, etc., on hand -- usually in the car trunk at all times!
