METHUEN, MA
July 29, 1998 Genesys, a leading
provider of outsourcing services and best-of-breed Human Resources,
Payroll and Benefits software, today announced the launch of GENExpress,
a robust and powerful streamlined version of its HRMS software and services
designed for rapid deployment in mid-sized companies of 500 to 3,000
employees. From start to finish, GENExpress is up and running in a very
rapid eight-week time frame providing a fast migration path to
a Year 2000 compliant solution with relatively low risk. GENExpress
is differentiated from recently announced mid-market HRMS solutions
by its offer of greater payroll functionality up front, its ability
to be fully customized, and its options for outsourcing some of a company's
processes affording mid-sized companies a solution that will
continue to meet business needs beyond the Year 2000 event.
GENExpress fills the niche for mid-sized
companies whose needs are too complex for smaller, PC-based systems
or mid-market HRMSs with limited payroll functionality. "GENExpress
represents a cost-effective, unique opportunity for mid-size companies
to have the power and functionality of an integrated, scalable, Year
2000 compliant HRMS solution delivered in an extremely rapid
time frame. With systems that require a longer deployment time, they
risk missing competitive windows of opportunity while experiencing a
much higher cost of ownership. With Genesys' proven expertise in providing
powerful best-of-breed in-house and outsourcing solutions for larger,
more complex organizations from all industries, mid-sized companies
now have a knowledgeable partner who can support them beyond the Year
2000," explained Larry Munini, president, Genesys.
GENExpress combines the powerful
functionality and flexibility of the Genesys Enterprise HRMS with rapid,
easy installation via a methodology designed to deploy it for the
average mid-size company in eight weeks and is affordable for the
growing and changing needs of mid-size companies. Hardware, software and
services are bundled for a fixed price and include:
- Operating Platform: Windows NT operating system, Microsoft SQL Server,
Compaq ProLiant server hardware and HP LaserJet printer.
- Application Software: Comprehensive HR/payroll applications,
including the Genesys GenTools software toolset.
- Implementation Services: To streamline the deployment process,
Genesys has established a GENExpress Deployment Center at its
Massachusetts headquarters. The two-week on-site deployment process
includes support, training, business process and knowledge transfer,
reporting interface, conversion and a parallel test.
GENExpress is available with unique outsourcing
options for a variety of processes and services. Mid-sized organizations
that purchase GENExpress can outsource those services which they do
not choose to perform in-house including quarter and year-end
processing, remote maintenance and disaster recovery. As part of its
full-service range of offerings, Genesys provides systems and staff
support, to ensure that its customers can satisfy federal, state and
local requirements and allow their HR/payroll professionals to
focus on more value-added strategic functions.
Headquartered in Methuen, Massachusetts,
Genesys provides hundreds of major organizations,
including many Fortune 1000 firms, with powerful HRMS solutions,
including integrated three-tier client/server software and outsourcing with
the industry's only full-service option. Genesys also provides an
