DETAILS:
In the most expansive overhaul of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) since its passage in 1938, and the first revisions of their kind since 1949, the Department of Labor issued new regulations under the FLSA in April 2004, redefining the class of employees exempt from statutory overtime pay protection.
If the new regulations survive Congressional review as expected, they will have far-reaching effects on payroll and other facets of human resources.
This presentation will detail the impact of these new regulations on the treatment of employees and cover various important aspects for compliance by the August 23, 2004 deadline.
