In 2002, author David Sears saw a need for a concise book devoted to successful business talent initiatives, achievable through market-focused staffing. For his research, Sears interviewed individuals from a broad cross-section of industries and disciplines and received valuable feedback in return.
In discussing talent initiatives, Sears covered a number of human capital management areas, including learning management and how, if properly implemented, learning management can be one of the key factors in the pursuit of successful talent strategies.
Genesys is pleased to announce that its learning management system, PeopleComeFirst Learning, was prominently featured by the author. PeopleComeFirst Learning is distinguished from other offerings in the marketplace by its competency management capabilities and intuitive design, which increase productivity and improve the effectiveness of learning throughout an organization. The successful implementation and subsequent use of PeopleComeFirst Learning by Lands' End is a story rich with rewards and lessons. Lands' End, one of the nations largest catalog retailers, implemented PeopleComeFirst Learning for its 8000 employees. The PeopleComeFirst team worked closely with the Lands' End training and development staff to incorporate many of their desired features and functionality. This collaborative process resulted in an LMS that is extremely flexible, provides superior usability, and incorporates business rules and objectives. PeopleComeFirst Learning is well suited to analyze competency gaps and to prescribe individualized learning paths, enabling organizations to achieve their talent initiatives.
